From Kos Marina, launch yourself gliding by the limestone cliffs of Kalymnos. Dock in Leros, where Art Deco buildings and WWII heritage still lingers in Lakki's submarine pens Walk the pastel harbor of Agia Marina, then climb to Panagia Castle for Aegean sunset views. At a coastal taverna, feast on pitaroudia (chickpea fritters), the air heavy with oregano and sea salt. Insider tip: swim at Xerokambos Beach; the blue waves there are delightfully free from crowds.

Journey to Patmos, often known as the "Island of Revelation." It is believed that St. John wrote the Book of Revelation in the Cave of the Apocalypse, thus you should descend there. Then, after cooling off on the golden sands of Psili Ammos, tour the whitewashed labyrinth of Chora while drinking mastiha cocktails under bougainvillea-draped arches. Honey with thyme from Melisses Farm—a flavor of the untamed slopes of Patmos—is a must-try.

Drift to Lipsi, car-free where goats abound over people. After exploring the seabed of Snorkel Aspronissi Bay, indulge in lipsiako cheese sloshed with fig jam at a family-run taverna. Rising early, ascend to the Chapel of Panagia—a single rock ablaze in the first light. The only bakery on the island creates koulouria, or sesame rings, still warm at morning.

Anchor at Arki; 40 is the population. Swim in the clear seclusion of Tiganakia Bay then climb to the mountaintop church for 360° views of the Dodecanese. Dine at Stavento Taverna, where captured that morning the fisherman-chef presents astakomakaronada, or lobster pasta. nor Wi-Fi, nor crowds—just stars and simplicity.

Run to Kalymnos, the heaven of the climbers. Cliffs Grande Grotta or snorkel Vathy Bay's emerald seas. At Pothia, eat mououri (stuffed squid) at a harborfront ouzeri and toast with foustalini, citrous liqueur. Adventure tip: Search for Kandouni Beach, a secret cove with azure peacock-blue waves by renting a scooter..

Sail homeward, stopping at Pserimos to swim across aquamarine shallows last. Go back to Kos Marina to see the old columns of the Asklepion sun bronzed. Celebrate your journey under the 2,400-year-old plane tree of Kos Town with kleftiko, slow-cooked lamb. Therma Beach's hot springs under the stars last night were amazing.
