Anchor at Trikeri Island, a paradise of pine-scented peace, sail into the Pagasetic Gulf passing rich cliffs. Swim in the sparkling waters of the harbor, then climb to the white-washed Panagia Evangelistria Monastery, which glows at nightfall. At a coastal taverna, dine on saganaki shrimp while the lights of fishing boats glitter like far-off stars.

Wander the cobblestone streets of Skiathos Town as evening sets, where ouzo runs freely in vibrant mezedopoleia and bougainvillea pours over whitewashed walls.

With locals, forage wild oregano; then, cook fresh-caught bream on deck; the breeze smells thyme.
