— How to book
From inquiry to embarkation
How to book a Catamaran in Greece?
From the first enquiry to the final hand-back, every step is guided by our Greek base team — transparent pricing, honest yacht advice, and someone on the phone before, during and after you sail the Aegean or Ionian.
What we need from you
- Your dates and a preferred Greek base — Athens, Lavrio, Alimos, Mykonos, Paros, Corfu, Lefkada, Preveza, Rhodes, Kos, Skiathos or Volos.
- Crew count and cabin layout — couples, children and their ages, a single cabin if you need one.
- Bareboat or skippered.
- Your sailing CV — the licences you hold, VHF certificate, and the waters you have skippered before.
- Your wishlist — which island groups, the pace you like, water toys, airport transfers, dietary needs.
How the offer process works
- We confirm the brief and shortlist only catamarans that genuinely fit it.
- You get an itemised quote with real photos, the full equipment list and the all-in total.
- We place a no-obligation hold on the yacht while you decide.
- On approval you receive the charter contract, invoice and payment instructions.
- Before you fly in we collect the crew list, your ETA, transfer plan and provisioning notes so check-in is quick.

Bareboat or with crew
- Bareboat — you skipper, with a competent co-skipper aboard.
- Skippered — a licensed skipper who knows Greek waters runs the boat and the daily sailing.
- Hostess or cook — provisioning, breakfast, light lunches or full meals, and keeping the boat in order.
Bareboat requirements in Greece
- A skipper licence the Greek Port Police accept — an ICC or a recognised national equivalent.
- VHF Short Range Certificate.
- A second experienced sailor; the co-skipper declaration is signed at check-in.
- Passports or IDs for every guest, plus a completed crew list.
- In Meltemi-exposed waters, reef early and keep daily legs conservative.
What is included in the charter rate
- A fully equipped catamaran, tender with outboard, bed linen and a stocked galley kit.
- The full safety inventory — lifejackets, liferaft, fire gear, tools and spare lines.
- Greek VAT at the rate in force.
- Your cruising-area briefing and a support line for the week.
What is not included
- Fuel, mooring and marina dues, tourist taxes and provisioning.
- Optional extras — skipper, hostess, cook, Wi-Fi, SUP, kayak, early check-in.
- Marine-park permits where they apply, such as the Alonissos National Marine Park.
Check-in and check-out
- Check-in: Saturday from 17:00.
- Back at base: Friday by 18:00 for the technical check.
- Disembarkation: Saturday by 09:00, after inventory and fuel top-up.
- Mid-week starts possible on request outside the peak weeks.
Payments
- A 50% deposit secures the catamaran.
- The balance is due 30 to 45 days before embarkation.
- Bank transfer is preferred; card payment is available with a processing fee.
- Every amount and due date is written into your invoice and contract.
Security deposit or damage waiver
- A refundable security deposit taken at check-in and released after a clean check-out.
- Or a damage waiver plus a smaller refundable amount.
- You choose the model that matches your risk appetite.
Insurance
- Third-party liability and hull cover with a deductible.
- The deductible equals the security deposit, or the residual amount under the waiver.
- Personal travel insurance is recommended for every guest.
Optional crew services
- Skipper — a day rate plus guest meals and a cabin.
- Hostess or cook — a day rate plus guest meals and a cabin.
- The exact daily rates are shown in the quote for your chosen yacht and dates.
Cancellation policy
- Cancel within 72 hours of confirmation and it is free — no questions asked.
- After that, any change or cancellation must reach us in writing, by e-mail.
- More than 45 days before the charter start: 50% of the charter fee.
- 45 days or fewer before the start: 100% of the charter fee.
- After check-in: 100% of the fee, plus any costs the cancellation causes.
- Bring a replacement client for the same dates and terms and you pay only the administrative change cost.
- If official travel restrictions make the destination unreachable, we reschedule the same yacht for the same or the next season, subject to availability (any price difference for a changed period is charged).
After booking
- You get a packing list, your base contacts and a marina map.
- We arrange transfers, advance provisioning and water toys.
- Briefings cover local traffic lanes, no-anchor zones, Lefkas Canal bridge times and fallback harbours.
On arrival
- Paperwork and the deposit are handled at the base.
- A full technical handover — instruments, engines, rig, safety gear and tender.
- Local tips, taverna bookings and a mooring suggestion for each night.
During your charter
- Our team is on call for weather updates and route tweaks.
- Bases and partners across Athens, Lavrio, the Cyclades, the Ionian, the Dodecanese and the Sporades.
- Fast help with a spare part, a diver or a berth change.
Price transparency
- Each quote breaks out the base rate, VAT, mandatory extras and optional items.
- No hidden fees — everything is in writing before you pay a cent.
