Catamaran charter Athens — Saronic Gulf gateway
Athens is the busiest Greek catamaran base. Sail from Alimos (33 km from Athens airport, Europe's largest charter port) or Lavrion for a quicker reach into the Cyclades. The Saronic Gulf shelters Aegina, Poros, Hydra and Spetses behind the Peloponnese, knocking two Beaufort off the summer Meltemi — the most family-friendly Greek region for first-time crews.

The Cyclades are the postcard — Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Santorini, Milos and Ios across the central Aegean. The summer Meltemi blows hard here (Beaufort 5–7 in peak), so itineraries are wind-led and best done from a Lavrion, Mykonos or Paros base. Catamarans win on the shallow draft for sand-bottomed coves the keelboats avoid.

The Ionian is the gentlest Greek charter region — sheltered Inland Sea between Lefkada, Meganisi, Ithaca and Kefalonia, with short 6–14 nm legs and Beaufort 3–5 thermal afternoons. Family-friendly, bareboat-friendly, and the lowest fuel burn of any Greek region. Bases at Lefkas, Preveza and Corfu.

The Dodecanese string twelve islands along the Turkish coast, from Rhodes in the south to Patmos in the north. Symi's pastel harbour, the active Nisyros volcano, and easy day-sails into Marmaris, Datça or Bodrum on the Turkish side. Charter from Kos for centre-of-the-chain itineraries, Rhodes for an Old Town day plus Turkish coast detour.

The Sporades hold the largest marine protected area in the Mediterranean — the Alonissos and Northern Sporades Marine Park, home to the Mediterranean monk seal. Short 4–14 nm legs between Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos and the marine-park islets. The Skiathos JSI airport is one kilometre from the marina, which makes this one of the most convenient Greek charter starts.
