Day 1 / 7
Keri
1
Day 1

Zakynthos TownKeri Bay

Start at Zakynthos Town, where Venetian building blends with the pulse of the Ionian. Wander the cobblestone lanes of Bohali Square, then fly south to Keri Bay, a crescent of peace among limestone cliffs. Anchor close to the Keri Caves, where Aquamarine arches let sunlight dance. Explore the sparkling waves of the bay, then enjoy saganaki—flaming cheese—at a seaside restaurant as the lighthouse blinks to life. Sleep to the lapping wave lullaby, the air smelling of wild thyme.

Things to do

Dinghy the Keri sea caves at golden hour

Climb to the Keri lighthouse viewpoint

Swim the limestone arches off the cape

Wander Bohali Square before casting off

Flaming saganaki at a shoreside taverna

Mooring tip

Free anchor in Keri Bay on sand, 5–8 m, well sheltered from the prevailing N. Drop early in August — the bay fills with day-trippers by 18:00. Watch for weed patches; back down to test the set.

Koukla
2
Day 2

Keri BayPorto Koukla

Glide east to Porto Koukla, a remote harbor where pine trees hug uninhabited coastlines. Spend the morning paddle to a secret pebble beach for a lunch of olives and sun-warmed tomatoes, then snorkel over seagrass meadows brimming with leaping fish. Watch local fishermen pull their nets as afternoon fades into gold; their joy fills the bay. Dine under the Milky Way extending endlessly above on bianco, garlic fish stew.

Things to do

Snorkel the seagrass meadows for octopus

Paddleboard to a secret pebble cove

Bianco fish stew at a quayside taverna

Sundowner stargazing — almost zero light pollution

Dawn run along the pine-shaded coast road

Mooring tip

Lazy lines on the small Porto Koukla quay (small fee, limited slots). South-exposed — if a SW swell builds, fall back to anchoring deeper in Keri Bay 4 nm west on sand.

Vromi
3
Day 3

Porto KouklaVromi Bay

Sail north to Vromi Bay, a spectacular entry to Zakynthos' wild west. Anchor under towering cliffs where peregrine falcons breed, then tenderly visit Navagio Beach (Shipwreck Cove), whose rusted freighter is buried on powdered sand. Reaching back on board, salute with mandolato wine as the cliffs glow golden at dusk, their reflections rippling in the twilight sea.

Things to do

Tender to Navagio Shipwreck Cove for photos

Snorkel the cliff base for falcon-eye views

Drone the chalk cliffs at golden hour

Toast mandolato wine at sunset on deck

Spot Eleonora falcons nesting on the cliffs

Mooring tip

Free anchor only — Vromi has no quay. Use 8–12 m sand close to the south wall, but bail out at first sign of W swell as the bay is fully exposed. If wind backs SW overnight, run east to Porto Koukla.

Agios Nikolaos
4
Day 4

Vromi BayAgios Nikolaos

From Agios Nikolaos, a beautiful town with cobalt domes dotting the horizon, cruise. Trekking to the 15th-century Panagia Skopiotissa Monastery, with its walls gazing over the Blue Caves Plunge into their electric-blue seas, then feast ashore on rabbit stifado (cinnamon stew) in a courtyard hung with grapevines, the sound of bouzouki strings floating on the breeze.

Things to do

Snorkel the electric-blue waters of Blue Caves

Hike up to Panagia Skopiotissa Monastery

Rabbit stifado in a vine-shaded courtyard

Coffee on the harbour at the cobalt-domed church

Sunset photo from the small Skinari headland

Mooring tip

Lazy lines or stern-to on the Agios Nikolaos quay (small fee). Limited slots — call ahead in August. Sheltered from the prevailing N, but the harbour entrance can chop up in a SE gale.

Sivota
5
Day 5

Agios NikolaosPatras

Set out from Sivota Bay, a Lefkadian gem surrounded by emerald hills. Kayak to sea caves where ancient amphorae lie buried, swim in the Blue Lagoon, its shallows shining like liquid sapphire. Mid-passage swim stop in deep blue water

Walk the Patras Rio-Antirrio bridge viewpoint

Late dinner of grilled octopus and ouzo

Stroll the upper-town castle at twilight

Mooring tip

Paxos
6
Day 6

PatrasKyllini

Charter south to Paxos, a small Eden where olive groves cover stone villages. Dock at Gaios; the pastel buildings reflected in tranquil waters. Dinghy the Blue Caves, then sip olive oil liqueur from a harborside café. Join residents for homemade noodles called spaghetti fresca in a garden alive with cicadas and moonlight as evening falls.

Spaghetti fresca at a family kafenio

Sunset walk along the Kyllini ferry quay
