Day 1 / 7
Kea
1
Day 1

AthensKea

Start your journey in Athens, drinking thick Greek coffee among the early bustle of Plaka, the Acropolis under protection. Let the salty breeze carry you past the Cape Sounion cliffs, where Poseidon's temple clings to the rocks like a myth come alive. You are sailing. Kea's verdant slopes stand to welcome you by afternoon. Explore the azure seas of Vourkari Bay, then go to a laid-back taverna serving grilled octopus and tales from former fishermen. Trekkers to the ancient stone Lion of Kea will find its silent roar echoing the wild soul of the island as evening paints the heavens.

Things to do

Espresso & briefing at Alimos before cast-off

Photograph Cape Sounion temple under sail

Anchor & swim at Vourkari Bay

Drive up to the Lion of Kea

Octopus dinner at a Vourkari quayside taverna

Mooring tip

Stern-to at Vourkari quay (free, lazy lines limited). Bay shelters from N Meltemi; in S winds shift to Otzias cove (3 nm north, sand 6 m). Long day — leave Alimos by 09:00 to clear Sounion before the afternoon thermal hardens.

Syros
2
Day 2

KeaSyros

Get up to smell freshly made tiropita and hear the soft clink of sail rigging. Ahead like a liquid sapphire road is the Aegean. Dolphins dance beside your boat as Syros emerges, Venetian bell towers and pastel palaces challenging the azure horizon. Dock at Ermoupolis, where secret courtyards and great staircases follow marble streets. At sunset, climb to Ano Syros, the whitewashed village shining like an illuminated maze, then toast with a glass of ouzo as bouzouki music erupts from a taverna below.

Things to do

Climb to Ano Syros at sunset

Wander the Vaporia neoclassical waterfront

Loukoumi (Turkish delight) tasting in town

Dinner of San Michali cheese pie

Bouzouki taverna in the back-streets

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Ermoupoli main quay (free, large, lazy lines). Best Meltemi shelter in the Cyclades — your bad-weather card if a strong N forecast appears later in the week. Finikas Bay (5 nm SW) is the quieter alternative.

Mykonos
3
Day 3

SyrosMykonos

As you hurl toward Mykonos, the "Island of the Winds," feel the Meltemi breezes fill your sails. First to show guard over a labyrinth of sugar-cube homes and fashionable stores are the famous white windmills. Wander along the streets of Mykonos Town, where cobalt doors frame Instagram-perfect scenes. By noon, find a sunbed at Paradise Beach—the pulse of DJ mixed with the sea. Join the sparkling throng in Little Venice as night falls and sip cocktails while the sun sets like a golden coin in the sea.

Things to do

Sundowner cocktails in Little Venice

Photograph the Kato Mili windmills

Day-stop at Paradise or Super Paradise Beach

Boat tour to sacred Delos at sunrise

Fashion-boutique wander in the Chora

Mooring tip

Mykonos New Marina (Tourlos, lazy lines, paid) is the only safe summer option — old port is fully exposed to N Meltemi. Book by VHF a day ahead in August; rates rise sharply in peak. No anchoring inside Tourlos.

Paros
4
Day 4

MykonosParos

After the celebration yesterday, let Paros calm your soul. Enter Parikia's harbor, where the fourth-century Panagia Ekatontapiliani church murmurs Byzantine secrets. Wander inland to discover communities unspoiled by time, their lanes carpeted with jasmine and elderly men backgammon playing. Later, follow the light to Naoussa, a postcard-perfect fishing harbor where octopuses dry on lines and boats bob near worn-out wooden kaikia. At Kolymbithres, cap the day with a moonlit dip as your toes sink into lunar shapes created from sand carved by wind.

Things to do

Visit Panagia Ekatontapiliani in Parikia

Swim Kolymbithres wind-sculpted rocks

Wander Naoussa's fishing-harbour lanes

Cycle inland to Lefkes traditional village

Octopus & ouzo dinner on Naoussa quay

Mooring tip

Stern-to in Naoussa fishing harbour (small, fills early — arrive by 14:00 in August). Lazy lines limited; bring stern anchor. Parikia main quay is the larger alternative, well-sheltered from N Meltemi.

Serifos
5
Day 5

ParosSerifos

Trade Paros' refined appeal contrasts with Serifos' unvarnished beauty. The island opens out as you get closer: a jagged masterpiece of cliffs and secret coves. Drop anchor in Livadi, where water so clean golden sand meets. You will swear it is liquid glass. Trekking the donkey trail to Chora, a town set like a cubist picture, fall at a hillside taverna. Here the view runs all the way to Sifnos while nonnas serve clay pots of revithada—slow-cooked chickpeas in lemony broth. You dreamed of Greece, and here is that country.

Things to do

Hike the donkey path to Chora

Sundowner from the Chora windmill

Bowl of revithada at a hillside taverna

Swim Psili Ammos turquoise-shallows

Tsipouro tasting at a family kafeneio

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Livadi quay (free, lazy lines on outer pontoon). Bay holds the Meltemi well, but afternoon swell rolls in — go bow-to with stern anchor for comfort. No marina or fuel — top up before leaving Paros.

Kythnos
6
Day 6

SerifosKythnos

Today the sea offers you solitude. Sail south to Kythnos, where thermal springs steam down the coast and goat count exceeds human population. Dock in Merihas, a slumbering port where tavernas present grilled sardines sloshed with lemon. Claim Kolona Beach as your own—a strip of sand between two bays—or swim in Loutra's warm, mineral-rich waves. Anchor in uninhabited Apokrousi Bay, where the Milky Way reflects the gliding sea, as night falls.

Things to do

Anchor & swim at Kolona double bay

Soak in Loutra's thermal springs

Dinghy across to Apokrousi Bay

Grilled sardines on Merihas waterfront

Stargaze from anchor — minimal light pollution

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Merihas main quay (free, lazy lines limited). Holding fair in 6 m sand. Kolona Bay (3 nm north) is the postcard anchorage — sand 4–6 m, but exposed to N swell, fine for daytime stop only.

Athens
7
Day 7

KythnosAthens

Savor the simplicity on your last morning: thick yogurt sloshed with Kythnos honey, the sun warming your shoulders as you plot a return to Athens. Already yearning the cadence of the waves, glide by Hydra's silhouette. As the Acropolis bids farewell, return to Piraeus with salt in your hair and stories in your heart lingering over one last platter of fried calamari.

Things to do

Last swim stop at Cape Sounion bay

Photograph the Athens skyline on approach

Refuel at Alimos before berthing

Final crew lunch on board at the marina

Hand-back briefing & marina departure

Mooring tip

Return to Alimos by 18:00 Friday for the technical hand-back; sleep aboard, disembark Saturday by 09:00. Direct shuttle to Athens International Airport (~50 min) — book taxi night before in August.
