Day 1 / 7
Aegina
1
Day 1

AthensAegina

Just one hour's sail away, trade Athens' urban bustle for Aegina's calm based on pistachio smell. Dock in the pastel harbor, where fisherman mend nets and golden nut overflowing carts abound. Ascending the Temple of Aphaia, whose antique columns frame the Saronic Gulf, then cool off at Marathonas Beach. Feast on plump grilled sardines and revithokeftedes (chickpea fritters) at a seaside taverna as evening colors the heavens, the waves whispering stories of a slower, sweeter Greece.

Things to do

Climb the Temple of Aphaia for sunset

Buy fresh pistachios from harbour-side carts

Try gourounopoulo at a waterfront taverna

Walk Aegina town's neoclassical mansions

Quick swim at Marathonas Beach

Mooring tip

Stern-to on the main quay (north side). Free, exposed to Meltemi — book a buoy at Aegina Marina if forecast shows N winds above 20 kn. Perdika cove (4 nm south) is the quieter family alternative.

Poros
2
Day 2

AeginaPoros

Follow the morning breeze to Poros, where a candy-striped clocktower marks time and lemon orchards scent the air. Anchor in the verdant embrace of Love Bay then meander through the maze of bougainvillea-drenched streets of Poros Town. Join residents on the waterfront at sunset for saganaki cheese flambéed with ouzo—its salty tang a wonderful complement for the pink-hued horizon. Plan a nighttime swim; the water glows like liquid obsidian.

Things to do

Anchor & swim at Love Bay

Hike up to the Clocktower for harbour views

Cross to Galatas for lemon-grove gelato

Snorkel the wrecks off Vagionia Bay

Saganaki dinner on the town quay

Mooring tip

Stern-to on the main town quay (south side, free). Tight in summer — drop crew, then loop the harbour and pick a slot. Holding good in 4–6 m sand. Russian Bay (2 nm west) is the no-quay anchorage backup.

Ermioni
3
Day 3

PorosErmioni

Sail south to Ermioni, a hidden treasure where quiet bays lie amid pine woods. Dock in the slumbering port, where octopuses dry on lines and cats lie under fishing boats. Kayak to the blue seclusion of Bisti Beach, or hike to the ancient Temple of Demeter, its remnants under protection by cicadas and wild thyme. By night, eat under a fig tree at a family taverna where grandma's stifado, beef stew, simmers for hours—and the retsina pours like gossip.

Things to do

Kayak to Bisti Beach pine cove

Hike to the Temple of Demeter ruins

Wander the fishing-boat quay

Stifado dinner under a fig tree

Sundowner walk on the wooded headland

Mooring tip

Stern-to on the south quay (free, lazy lines limited). Holding fair in 5 m sand inside the bay. Sheltered from prevailing N Meltemi by the headland; in S winds shift to Petrothalassa cove (1 nm east).

Methana
4
Day 4

ErmioniMethana

Today the sea guides you to Methana's volcanic essence. Anchor close to steaming thermal springs, where since ancient times sulfur-scented waters have calmed mariners. Trek the lunar-like paths of the volcano, earning views of the Argolic Gulf or laze on Vathy Bay's pebbled coast. As stars show up, sit in a natural hot pool, sip a glass of local rosé, and let the warmth of the soil melt every knot of tension.

Things to do

Soak in a Methana sulfur thermal pool

Hike the volcano caldera trail

Swim in Vathy Bay's clear pebbled cove

Visit the small archaeological museum

Sundowner of local rosé in the spa quarter

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Methana town quay (free, lazy lines on outer pontoon). Holding fair in 6 m sand inside the bay. Open to E — fine in N Meltemi, uncomfortable in summer afternoon SE thermals; if forecast unstable, push on to Palaia Epidavros.

Palaia
5
Day 5

MethanaPalaia Epidavros

Coast enters Palaia Epidavros, where myth and history meet. Swim in the secret cove of Ancient Epidavros and then stroll the theater from the fourth century BC; its acoustics are so keen you will hear a coin drop from the highest seat. Lunch on ladenia, tomato-drenched flatbread, in a hamlet square; then, sail to adjacent beaches where pine trees reach their branches into the sea. Paddleboard a sunset at the end of the day; the water reflects the fiery color of the sky.

Things to do

Visit the ancient theatre of Epidavros

Snorkel the sunken city ruins

Paddleboard at sunset across the bay

Hike up to the cliffside chapel

Lunch on ladenia tomato flatbread

Mooring tip

Stern-to on the small harbour quay (free, lazy lines limited) or anchor in 5–7 m sand on the south side of the bay. Bay shelters from N Meltemi; in S winds shift to Vathy Bay (3 nm north).

Agistri
6
Day 6

Palaia EpidavrosAgistri

On little Agistri, a pine-fringed paradise, substitute hedonism for history. Drop anchor at Skala's translucent bay, where water sparkles like broken diamonds. Kayak to the remote caverns of Dragonera or bike across cypress groves to reach the pebbled silence of Halikadha Beach. At a waterside taverna at evening, savor a platter of astakomakaronada (lobster pasta), a dish as red and strong as the setting sun.

Things to do

Anchor & swim at Skala Beach turquoise shallows

Kayak to the Dragonera sea caverns

Bike across cypress groves to Halikadha

Lunch of astakomakaronada (lobster pasta)

Sunset SUP from the boat to Megalochori

Mooring tip

Anchor at Skala (5–8 m sand) or alongside Megalochori quay (limited spots). No marina — keep an anchor watch on if a SE wind kicks in overnight. Bay holds prevailing N Meltemi well.

Athens
7
Day 7

AgistriAthens

Go one more time into Agistri's waters on your farewell morning, tasting freedom and salt. Sail slowly back to Athens, stopping to swim farewell on the deserted beaches of Moni Island. Dock at Piraeus over a last feast of garlicky taramasalata and fried calamari, hair salted with salt and a heart full of Aegean light. The Saronic Gulf never really lets you leave, hence even as the Acropolis bids farewell you are already planning your return.

Things to do

Last swim at uninhabited Moni Island

Photograph the Athens skyline on approach

Refuel at Alimos before berthing

Final crew lunch on board at the marina

Hand-back briefing & marina departure

Mooring tip

Return to Alimos by 18:00 Friday for the technical hand-back; sleep aboard, disembark Saturday by 09:00. Direct shuttle to Athens International Airport (~50 min) — book taxi night before in August.
