Day 1 / 7
Kea
1
Day 1

LavrionKea (Korissia Harbor)

Kea's wild stillness replaces Lavrion's shipyard clutter as it sails into Korissia's horseshoe harbor, a postcard of fishing boats and salt-weathered bars. Trek to the old stone Lion of Kea, whose mysterious smile watches over the island, or dive the Brittany shipwreck, its rusting hull now home to darting schools of fish. Claim a table at a riverside ouzeri for platters of marinated anchovies and anecdotes from grizzled sailors as evening sets.

Things to do

Hike to the 6th-century BC Stone Lion of Kea

Dive the WWII SS Burdigala wreck off Kea

Lunch on octopus carpaccio at Vourkari

Walk Ioulida village marble alleys

Sundowner at a Korissia harbour ouzeri

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Korissia town quay (free, exposed to N). Vourkari, 1 nm north, is more sheltered if Meltemi forecast is above 20 kn — limited slots, arrive before 15:00 in August.

Kythnos
2
Day 2

KeaKythnos (Loutra Harbor)

Let the Meltemi winds slink south to Kythnos, where Loutra's hot springs bubble like a natural jacuzzi. Once cherished by Byzantine emperors, soak in warm, mineral-rich springs then stroll the whitewashed paths of the town, where cats doze under geranium pots. Dinner comes first. Freshly caught Barbounia cooked over olive wood accompanied with a carafe of zesty local white. Go to sleep to enjoy the lapping wave lullaby.

Things to do

Soak in the Loutra thermal spring pools

Swim the twin-bay sandbar at Kolona Beach

Wander Chora whitewashed lanes at sunset

Try wood-grilled barbounia at the quay

Snorkel the rocks west of Loutra harbour

Mooring tip

Stern-to in Loutra small marina (lazy lines, small fee). Fills early in August — book by VHF 09 from 10:00 onward. Merihas town quay is the alternative, free but rolly in N swell.

Kamares
3
Day 3

KythnosSifnos (Kamares Harbor)

Sail into the Kamares of Sifnos, where golden arc of sand is kissed by cerulean waves. Trekking to the cliffside Chrysopigi Monastery, its stone arches enclosing the unceasing blue, search the backstreets for handcrafted pottery. At a family-run taverna, savor mastelo, delicious lamb slow-cooked in clay pots with red wine and dill at dusk. Pro tip: Set aside space for irresistible chickpea croquettes.

Things to do

Walk the cliff path to Chrysopigi Monastery

Buy handmade ceramics from a Kamares studio

Dinner of mastelo (clay-pot lamb) in Artemonas

Save room for revithokeftedes (chickpea croquettes)

Sundown swim at Vroulidia hidden cove

Mooring tip

Anchor in Kamares bay (5–7 m sand, good holding) or stern-to on town quay (free, limited spots). In strong Meltemi, move to Vathy on the south-west coast — the most protected anchorage in the western Cyclades.

Serifos
4
Day 4

SifnosSerifos (Koutalas Beach)

Trade Sifnos' polish for Serifos' natural appeal. Drop anchor in the crescent of pebbles surrounded by rocks at Koutalas. Snorkel in water so pure it's undetectable; next, climb the zigzag path to Chora, a whitewashed colony of cube dwellings where donkeys still outnumber vehicles. At a hillside kafeneio, dine on revithada (chickpea stew), with the owner's dog asleep at your feet. Treat? Dessert The perspective is 360° of sea and heavens.

Things to do

Hike the zigzag donkey path to Chora

Snorkel the rock walls of Koutalas Bay

Lunch of revithada at a hillside kafeneio

Explore the abandoned mines at Mega Livadi

Sundowner with 360° Aegean views from Chora

Mooring tip

Anchor at Koutalas (8–10 m sand and weed, set the hook firmly). Open to S–SW — if forecast turns, shift 6 nm north to Livadi town quay (free, lazy lines, very sheltered).

Kythnos
5
Day 5

SerifosKythnos (Merichas Harbor)

Go back to Kythnos, but this time to Merichas—a peaceful harbor where time flows to the clink of mast rigging. Sail to Apokrousi's remote cove for lunch of sun-warmed tomatoes and feta on the deck or swim at Kolona Beach, a strip of beach separating twin bays. Join residents at a dockside taverna by nightfall for sfougato (cheese pie) and raki, the stars reflecting like sequines on the sea.

Things to do

Anchor lunch at Apokrousi Bay sand cove

Swim the twin-bay sandbar at Kolona

Dinner of sfougato cheese pie at the quay

Walk the path to the Hora viewpoint

Nightcap of mountain raki on deck

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Merihas town quay (free, lazy lines on inner side). Holding poor in westerlies — if forecast shows W swell above 15 kn, anchor in Apokrousi Bay 1 nm north (8 m sand, well sheltered).

Lavrion
6
Day 6

KythnosLavrion

Sail north toward Lavrion, the Attica shore far away rising. Stop at Cape Sounion for a last swim; Poseidon's temple watches over your final dive. Taste of salt and adventure remaining on your lips you toast your voyage with ouzo and garlicky taramasalata at a dockside taverna back in port. The islands groan, 'Next time, stay longer.'

Things to do

Last swim below the Temple of Poseidon

Photograph Sounion columns from the water

Refuel at Lavrion fuel dock before berthing

Sort gear and pack swim kit at anchor

Farewell ouzo and taramasalata on the quay

Mooring tip

Lavrion Olympic Marina, lazy lines on assigned berth — call marina office on VHF 09 from 30 min out. Hand-back briefing at 18:00 Friday; sleep aboard, disembark Saturday by 09:00.

Mykonos
7
Day 7

LavrionLavrion

Get off with sandy shoes, a camera roll of sunsets, and a heart full of Aegean light. One last Greek coffee amid Lavrion's morning rush, already planning your comeback—because the Cyclades are not simply islands. They are like a siren song.

Things to do

Greek coffee at a marina kafeneio

Final crew photo on the bow

Airport shuttle from Lavrion (~50 min)

Pick up Cycladic souvenirs in town

Toast the trip before disembarking

Mooring tip

Lavrion Olympic Marina hand-back complete by 09:00. KTEL bus and private taxis run direct to Athens International Airport — book a transfer the evening before in August peak.
