Day 1 / 7
Kea
1
Day 1

LavrionKea

From Lavrion's industrial buzz, set sail with the Aegean stretching ahead like a turquoise promise. Kea's emerald slopes rise in a cycladic mystery within hours. Anchor at Vourkari Bay, where fishermen boats float next to elegant yachts. After climbing to the historic stone Lion of Kea, whose mossy eyes watched over the island, plunge into the WWII wreck Brittany at nightfall. At a riverside bar, feast on octopus carpaccio while the harbor lights sparkle like stars.

Things to do

Hike to the 6th-century BC Stone Lion of Kea

Dive the Brittany WWII wreck at sunset

Octopus carpaccio at a Vourkari ouzeri

Walk Ioulida marble alleys at dusk

Swim at Otzias before settling for the night

Mooring tip

Stern-to in Vourkari (lazy lines, small fee) — best shelter from N Meltemi. Korissia town quay is the free alternative but exposed when forecast shows N winds above 18 kn.

Syros
2
Day 2

KeaSyros (Ermoupolis)

Rising to the aroma of freshly made koulouri, sail toward Syros where Cycladic simplicity meets Venetian grandeur. Dock in Ermoupolis, with its pastel homes down to a port covered with marble. Climb Ano Syros' twisting stairs to a cliffside church, bouzouki music floating from blue-door cafes. Sip soumada, or almond milk, at Miaouli Square at nightfall while residents argue politics over little coffee cups.

Things to do

Walk marble lanes to Miaouli Square

Climb Ano Syros for sunset cathedral views

Sip soumada (almond milk) at a kafeneio

Try loukoumi (Turkish delight) at Sykoutris

Catch a rembetiko set in a back-alley pub

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Ermoupoli town quay (free, plenty of space — easiest mooring in the Cyclades). Excellent shelter in any wind direction; the safest hideout if Meltemi blows above 30 kn.

Mykonos
3
Day 3

SyrosMykonos

Let the Meltemi winds drive you to the 'Island of the Winds,' Mykonos. Dock at Mykonos Town, where cobalt domes and sugar-cube homes challenge the unceasing blue of the sea. From the pulsating DJ beats of Paradise to Agios Sostis' secret peace, beach-hop Join the sparkling throng in Little Venice—Aperol spritz in hand—at evening as the sun fades into the Aegean. Pro tip: Early on grab a marina location; this island never sleeps.

Things to do

Sundowner at Little Venice waterfront

Day-trip to the ancient ruins of Delos

Beach-hop Paradise to Agios Sostis

Wander Chora's whitewashed alleyways

Photograph the iconic Kato Mili windmills

Mooring tip

Tourlos New Marina, lazy lines on assigned berth — book by VHF 09 from 30 nm out, or 24h ahead in August. Old port is exposed in N Meltemi and not viable for overnight stays.

Paros
4
Day 4

MykonosParos (Parikia)

Trade the soulful appeal of Paros for Mykonos' glitz. Sail into the whitewashed bay of Parikia, where the fourth-century Panagia Ekatontapiliani church whispers Byzantine mysteries. Wander inland to Lefkes village, with jasmine shaded on stone roads. Later, follow the sunset to Naoussa, a fashion hotspot converted from a fishing port. At a seaside table, dine on astakomakaronada (lobster pasta), the waves singing your dinner.

Things to do

Visit Panagia Ekatontapiliani Byzantine church

Wander Naoussa's whitewashed fishing harbour

Swim Kolymbithres rock-pool coves

Hike inland to Lefkes mountain village

Dinner of astakomakaronada at Naoussa quay

Mooring tip

Naoussa small fishing harbour (lazy lines, fills early — drop crew, then circle). Parikia anchorage in 5–8 m sand south of the ferry quay. Both exposed to N — Naoussa Bay can roll in strong Meltemi.

Serifos
5
Day 5

ParosSerifos (Livadi)

Fly southwest to Serifos, where unspoiled beauty rules. Anchor in Livadi's gorgeous crescent bay and climb the donkey trek to Chora, a whitewashed swarm clinging to a volcanic mountain. Lunch in a cliffside taverna on revithada (lemony chickpea stew), the cat of the owner sleeping at your feet. Swim in water that is so clean you will count ten meters down pebbles. Greece is naked—wild, peaceful, absolutely alive.

Things to do

Hike the donkey path up to Chora village

Lunch on revithada chickpea stew

Swim Psili Ammos Beach turquoise crescent

Visit the abandoned mines at Mega Livadi

Sundowner with 360° Aegean views from Chora

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Livadi town quay (lazy lines, free). Excellent shelter from N Meltemi behind the headland. Anchor space in the bay (8 m sand) if quay is full.

Kythnos
6
Day 6

SerifosKythnos (Merihas)

Allow the water to lead you to the understated beauty of the Cyclades, Kythnos. Dock in Merihas' peaceful harbor, where stories of pirate raids and grilled sfoungato (cheese pie) are served from tavernas. Warm the sliver of sand separating two tones of blue at Snorkel Kolona Beach by soaking in Loutra's thermal springs, heated by the ancient fire of the soil. Anchor in Apokrousi Bay at evening; the Milky Way reflects the glitter of the sea.

Things to do

Lunch swim at Kolona Beach sandbar

Soak in Loutra thermal spring pools

Dinner of sfougato cheese pie

Walk the Hora viewpoint path

Sundown swim off the boat in Apokrousi Bay

Mooring tip

Stern-to on Merihas town quay (free, lazy lines on inner side) or Loutra small marina (lazy lines, small fee — book early in August). Apokrousi Bay 1 nm north is the calmest anchorage if W swell builds.

Lavrion
7
Day 7

KythnosLavrion

Breathe in your last morning at sea while dolphins sprint your bow and Lavrion's shadow shows up. Stop for one last swim at Cape Sounion, the temple guard over the Attica shore. Salt still crusted in your hair, celebrate your trip with ouzo and garlicky taramasalata in a dockside taverna back in port. The islands whisper, 'Efharisto,' as you say you will be back.

Things to do

Last swim below the Temple of Poseidon

Photograph Sounion columns from the water

Refuel at Lavrion fuel dock

Sort gear and pack swim kit at anchor

Farewell ouzo and meze on the marina quay

Mooring tip

Lavrion Olympic Marina, lazy lines on assigned berth — call marina office on VHF 09 from 30 min out. Hand-back briefing at 18:00 Friday; sleep aboard, disembark Saturday by 09:00.
